Coniferis Retreat is a resort of six tiny houses with private jacuzzis, hidden away in the mountain village of Tomnatic (Vadu Crișului commune, Bihor county), in the Pădurea Craiului Mountains. We are less than an hour from Oradea and about two hours from Cluj-Napoca: far enough that you no longer hear the city, close enough to reach us easily. Each cabin sleeps up to 4 people and has a private terrace, a heated jacuzzi and a fully equipped kitchen.

How Coniferis came to be
Coniferis was born from the wish to create a place different from classic mountain accommodation. A place where nature is not just scenery, but part of the experience. We chose the Pădurea Craiului Mountains, in Bihor county, near Oradea, an area recognised as one of Romania’s top 10 eco-destinations thanks to constant efforts to conserve nature and promote sustainable tourism.
The resort sits in the village of Tomnatic, a small, quiet and secluded mountain hamlet where local traditions, the simplicity of life and the natural rhythm have remained almost untouched by urban bustle. Here, time slows down naturally.
Why tiny houses?
The tiny house concept was the natural choice for us. It lets us offer modern comfort, privacy and functionality with a minimal impact on the environment.
Each cabin is carefully positioned to preserve the quiet, the privacy and the direct connection with nature. The spaces are cleverly organised and include everything you need for a comfortable stay: a fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom, a welcoming living area and private terraces where you can enjoy the silence of the forest.
The six cabins – Luna, Tiramisu, Cappuccino, Pistacchio, Hypo and Dyno – each have their own character: some with two bedrooms in the loft, others designed especially for couples, one pet friendly.

Coniferis is also a great fit for families with children or groups of friends looking for a different kind of stay, in the middle of nature. The cabins are fully equipped, sleep up to 4 people each and offer the space you need for time spent together. Larger groups can book several cabins to stay close to one another.
We create personalised experiences for special occasions:

Our location, close to Vadu Crișului, gives you access to activities that combine relaxation with adventure:
- kayaking and rafting on the Crișul Repede river
- caving, exploring the area’s famous show caves
- via ferrata routes in the Crișul Repede Gorge
- hiking and mountain bike trails for every level
After an active day, guests can unwind on the terrace and enjoy quiet barbecue evenings in an authentic natural setting.

Coniferis Retreat is in Tomnatic, Vadu Crișului commune, Bihor county, almost halfway between two of the most important cities in Transylvania:
- 67 km from Oradea (Oradea International Airport) – under an hour’s drive
- 121 km from Cluj-Napoca (Cluj International Airport) – around two hours
Tomnatic is a secluded mountain hamlet, with hills that descend in natural terraces covered by conifer forest. It is the kind of place where you hear the wind in the fir trees and, in the evening, see a sky full of stars.

- early check-in from 1:00 PM or late check-out until 1:00 PM, 100 RON each
- minimum stay of 2 nights
